A Poem

First Kiss

The hanging moment
Just before
Two worlds collide.
Where breath mingles,
Blood and milk
Swirling,
Melding
In the void between.

Foreheads whisper,
Fingertips trace,
Discover
The subtle contours
Not yet traversed.

One final
Inhale,
Close the distance.
Know.
