When I walked home from work the other day, the weather was perfect. The sun was shining and there was a light breeze that ruffled the leaves and made everything cool. I had a lovely little cup of ice cream to eat as I meandered across campus, watching various people enjoying the sunshine. I took the longest way I possibly could to get home, and I was so happy that I was getting off of work while the sun was still shining and the ducks were out splashing in the stream that runs by the path I take to get home. I really liked having the freedom to slow down and spend some quality time outside.
I went down to Salt Lake on Tuesday to spend some time with my lovely sister Mel for her birthday, which was so filling. Melanie is my closest sister in age, 11 years older than me, and she and I have always been close. But especially in the last few months we've become even closer, and our relationship is so special. She fills a part of my spirit that no one else can....it's something in her little elf-like self that is full of bubbly energy and hugs and laughter. She is pink roses and green forests to me :) I love her soooooo much!!
I started my second job on Monday, working upstairs in the same building in Alumni Records. It's not the most exciting job ever, but it's bringing me up to full work hours, which is wonderful. I love feeling so independent.
Last adventure: last night I got to go the mall with my good friend Kati and I got lots and lots of pretty underwear for about $10--we found this awesome sale at Wet Seal--and I had a little gift card at Victoria's Secret so I got some new summery perfume and my favorite body wash called Kissing in Paris. I love discounts and sales and all the pretty girly indulgences that come with them :) Then we got treated to Cafe Rio by my good friend Paul who just got back from his mission in Chile and is back at school and lives exactly a block away from me! Paul was my first dance partner before Matt and I'm so excited to have someone around to Latin dance with me!! All in all, a pretty awesome first week of summer.

50th Post!
So...I really wanted to save my 50th post for something epic, like pictures of my NEW HAIR!! But, I'm lame and I can't bring myself to ask my roommate to take pictures of my hair, and I don't have a camera. So I'll work on my courage and I'll post some pictures soon.
Instead of something epic, therefore, I must post about something a little more ordinary. Like....laughing! The other day I spent about 9 hours with my friend James (previously mentioned) and we laughed for the majority of that time. We laughed until our cheeks were sore and we were basically not breathing. I don't know why, but James has the ability to make me laugh about almost anything :) We also watched a really awesome thinking movie and shared our original music and poetry, which was amazing. It was the perfect day to have in the middle of this crazy finals week.
It rained last night, leaving a fresh, earthy smell in the air this morning which mixed beautifully with the scent of the blossoms that are bursting out all over Provo. The streets are lined with trees laden with these beautiful flowers:

My Life As I Know It
This is how I feel right now:
Basically, I have 4 papers to write before Wednesday, and one of them is a 6 page research paper. Needless to say, it's my own fault that I have so much work to do because I definitely procrastinated a little :/ On the upside, it's only 3 days of crazy and then it will be over, one way or another.
As far as the rest of my life goes, I have been dancing more than ever, particularly the 24 hours of Friday and Saturday this weekend. I had two jazz labs, a ballet lab, my normal dance classes, and 3 hours of ballroom dancing Friday night with James at Studio 600. It was all amazing, and my body responded surprisingly well.
I went to the doctor for the first time since moving out, which made me feel oddly grown up. I'm so used to going with my mom, but now I'm a full blown adult who can go to the doctor all by herself! (I've had this annoying cough lingering from the cold I got a couple weeks ago, and it's driving me crazy. The doctor said it was just staying after the virus I had and all I could do was take Musinex (sp?) and hope it went away.)
SCHOOL IS ALMOST OVER!!! Thanks goodness. See you all in 3 days. Promise.
